Wine and Food Festival


Join the celebration of the 33rd anniversary of this island festival!

Every March is one the island’s most talked about spring season six-day celebration of global wines and signature Lowcountry cuisine. Located at Sea Pines Resort is an experience that includes local chef’s showcasing their signature dishes and of course with live entertainment. A unique feature to this festival is the International Wine Competition where 3 days are spent judging over 500 different wines, the winners are then showcased at this festival. This festival is an event that is produced by the non-profit corporation Hilton Head Wine & Food Inc. The proceeds go towards John & Valerie Curry Educational Scholarship Fund for college students pursuing degrees in the hospitality and tourism field. Here are the list of events beginning March 8th through March 11th.

Thursday March 8th 

Join Sea Pines Resort Executive Chef Matthew Roher from 11 AM to 12:30 PM, for a Lowcountry cooking class and lunch. Be able to enjoy his demonstration while overlooking the Atlantic Ocean.  In case a cooking class isn’t for you, grab you glass and sip and stroll your way through shops that line the famous Harbour Town Yacht Basin. Be treated with great tasting wines and even discounts at participating shops. In the evening beginning at 6 PM in the Magnolia Room for another tasting hosted by Scott Cohen. Cohen’s family began the Grapevine Distributors in 1991, are the leading distributor of Oregon wines in the Carolina’s. Click the link below to view this lunch menu.

Friday March 9th 

During this seminar beginning at 11 AM to 12:30 PM in the Magnolia Room at the Plantation Golf Club, will be your chance to taste blends from around the world. You will be tasting six different blends from Napa, Australia, Argentina,Washington, Italy, and France. You will be able to also learn how difference base wines create such different blends.  In the evening beginning at 5:30 PM to 7:30PM will be the grand tasting located at the Harbour Town Clubhouse. This will be featuring the award-winning wines while enjoying live music.



Saturday March 10th 

Located at the Harbour Town Yacht Basin beginning at 11 AM is the public tasting event that will feature over 250 wines from all over the world along with island’s top chefs. There will even be a live action Gourmet Challenge along with live jazz entertainment and even a fun waiter’s race. You can even get your chance to bid on award-winning wines at the silent auction.


Sunday March 11th 

Located at the beautiful Sea Pines Beach Resort from 11 AM to 1:30 PM is the final event for this festival, Southern Fried Chicken Brunch.
