“Voluntourism”: Hilton Head’s Community Thanksgiving Dinner

Consider this your personal invitation to attend a truly heart-warming event:

The Annual Community Thanksgiving Dinner held at Hudson’s Seafood House on the Docks!

An admirable collaboration between Hudson’s, St. Andrew’s By-the-Sea United Methodist Church, and area non-profit The Deep Well Project, this dinner is both a delicious feast and an effective fundraiser.  The meal is prepared by Hudson’s and is entirely FREE, donations are accepted but are NOT required.

Whether you want to help out or just sit, eat, and visit, all are welcome:

Residents, visitors, those who are alone on the holiday or unable to prepare a meal themselves, folks looking to engage and join together with their neighbors…basically the motto is “Come One Come All!”.

Over 400 volunteers will serve more than 1600 guests this family-style dinner, and many volunteers actually plan their vacations to coincide with this event… starting a new tradition in their families of participation and service.  Rewarding, and fun too!
