Labor Day: Glass Half Empty or Half Full?

Most people think of Labor Day as “The End of Summer” holiday, but here at Beach Properties we try not think of it that way.  Instead we like to think of it as the “Gateway to Fall” holiday, which sounds much better, especially since the weather on Hilton Head Island is soooo delightful in the fall!

Whether you see the glass half empty or half full, it’s a fantastic time to visit Hilton Head, and here is a sampling of activities and events going on around the island on Labor Day weekend:

  1.  Gregg Russell in concert – September 3 – 6 @ 8pm, Harbour Town.

Let’s face it, this is a Hilton Head tradition not to be missed!  Gregg has been performing his family-friendly tunes in Harbour Town under the old oak tree for over 30 years, and now parents and even grandparents are bringing the kiddies along to hear him.  He has a real touch with the crowd…gently amusing, always entertaining, and able to engage his audience both young and old. (FREE EVENT)

2.  Ghost Stories around the Campfire – Sept 3 @ 8pm, Sea Pines Forest Preserve

Head into the Sea Pines Forest Preserve for an evening of Lowcountry activities, ghost stories, and toasting marshmallows around a campfire. (Reservations are required. 843-842-1979 $13/adults, $10/children)

3.  Captain Woody’s Tennis Fall Classic – Sept 4 – 6, Palmetto Dunes Tennis Center
