It is one of everyone’s favorite activities to do while visiting HHI but here it is with a twist. With more than 60 miles of multi-use trails connecting you to every point of the island, including the beach. Be able to bike the island overlooking its beauty while learning more about what made HHI what it is today.
Some subjects include the history of Native Americans, The Civil War, Reconstruction, fishing, farming, and the Gullah community. Most tours take up to an hour and a half, and are offered by the Heritage Library Foundation. You can choose to either bring your own bike or rent, but all participants are required to wear helmets. Pricing for these tours are $12 for adults and $7 for children and they must be 10 years old or older.
