The Best Ways to Celebrate Christmas on Hilton Head Island

Attend Harbour Town Lights Tree Lighting

Harbour Town is a charming area of the island and is best known for the iconic red and white lighthouse. Explore this part of the Sea Pines community while admiring the structure and holiday decor! During Christmas time, Harbour Town hosts an annual tree lighting that usually takes place in November. The 2019 tree lighting takes place the day after Thanksgiving on Friday, November 29 at 7:00 p.m. Witness the towering Christmas Tree in Harbour Town light up for the first time! Then, explore the other festive decorations. If you miss the tree lighting event, you can still walk along the harbor and enjoy countless light displays through January 1, New Year’s Day.
