It’s less than a month away! If you’re still needing something to do, why not come to Hilton Head Island? We’ve rounded up the island’s best festivities for Independence Day celebrating!
Harbour Town Fourth of July Festival:
First there is the Annual Parade at Harbour Town in the morning and a wonderful firework show later in the evening. Four different performers on four different stages makes Harbour Town one of the most musical celebrations on the island, and of course, Gregg Russell will be performing under the old oak tree from 8 p.m. to 9 p.m. Fireworks start at 9 p.m. and can bee seen over the Harbour Town Lighthouse.
Salute from the Shore:
This is by far one of the most popular and well known events on Hilton Head Island. The sixth annual Salute From the Shore has vintage World War II aircrafts and two F-16 planes flying along the South Carolina coastline. The show starts at 1 p.m. sharp and will likely end around 1:45 p.m. Bring your biggest american flag and wave it proudly as you salute from the shore!
30th Annual Hilton Head Island Firecracker 5000 Road Race:
The 30th annual Hilton Head Island Firecracker 5k will be kicking off bright and early at the new Shelter Cove Community Park. Over 1,700 people participate in this event that ends with a post-race party featuring a children’s fun run, live music, fresh fruit, ice cold refreshments, door prizes and more. The race starts promptly at 8 a.m. but runners must register and pick up their packets before the race.
