April Happenings on Hilton Head

Beach Views April 2016

“Nothing soothes the soul quite like a walk on the beach.”

April is the perfect month to visit Hilton Head Island and walk our wide, sandy beaches! As the temperature starts to rise and the ocean beckons, many people visit to enjoy the multitude of activities and events Hilton Head Island has to offer in the Spring.

Perhaps one event the Island is most known for is the RBC Heritage PGA Golf Tournament. Held each year the second week of May, this pinnacle event is one of golf’s greatest traditions. The first Heritage Classic golf tournament was the brainchild of Sea Pines founder, Charles Fraser, and held in 1969. Over the past 46 years, the Heritage has grown to become one of the most respected stops on the PGA tour. You can enjoy the tradition this year April 11th-17th, 2016. There is still time to secure accommodations by giving us a call at 1-800-671-5155!

Each Thursday night in April, visitors and resident alike can enjoy the Music & Taste on the Harbour event held in the Shelter Cove Harbour. Pair favorite local bands with delicious food and drinks from local restaurants, and you cannot go wrong! This event begins at 6pm and includes a free concert until 9pm. Food and drinks are extra.

Join us on Island at the end of April for the 16th Annual Juried Art Market. Held each year at historic Honey Horn Plantation, this Fine Art & Craft show draws over 90 artists and craft vendors from all over the country. Rain or shine, this event is open to the public Saturday, April 30th and Sunday, May 1st. There is a fee of $6 per car.
