“Art is not what you see, but what you make others see” – Edgar Degas
There is something about the natural beauty of Hilton Head Island that draws artists of all kinds! Local residents engage is a variety of art forms; you can see sculptures in many of the public parks of Hilton Head, and there is a number of business that helps visitors and residents alike express themselves through art. Perhaps the one annual event each year that embraces this more is The Art Market.
This year, the 16th Annual Art Market at Historic Honey Horn takes place Saturday, April 30 from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. and Sunday, May 1, 2016, from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. The event features a juried fine art and craft show with works in a variety of media, including clay, wood, fiber, metal, glass, jewelry, watercolors, oil, mixed media and photography, on display and for sale.
