Healthy Smoothies With a Fall Flavor Twist!

Pumpkin Smoothie anyone?

People think of smoothies as a summer item, but there are flavors traditionally associated with fall that make yummy ingredients for Festive Fall smoothies.

And since every Beach Properties home and villa has a fully-equipped kitchen, including a blender, you can easily try these out and maybe even get inspired to create your own!

These recipes are from the book “Superfood Smoothies”:

PUMPKIN LATTE SMOOTHIE

2 T canned pumpkin

1 heaping T instant coffee granules

2 large dates, pitted

1/2 t pumpkin pie spice

3/4 C plain soy milk

1 1/2 C ice

Add all ingredients except ice to blender.  Blend until smooth.  Add ice; blend until frosty.

cinnamon apple smoothie

CINNAMON-APPLE SMOOTHIE

1/2 green apple, seeds removed

3/4 C apple juice

3/4 t cinamon

1/3 C plain yogurt

1 T almond butter

1/2 ripe banana, peeled

1 C ice

Add all ingredients except ice to blender.  Blend until smooth.  Add ice; blend until frosty.
