Heritage Golf Tournament is Around the Corner!

Heritage%202015Since the RBC Heritage first teed off in 1969, the tournament has become one of the most beloved, most respected and most charitable stops on the PGA TOUR. Now in its 47th year, the tournament has seen golf legends like Nicklaus, Palmer, Tiger, Payne Stewart, Davis Love and Greg Norman, as well as today’s top golfers from around the globe be challenged by the fairways of the Harbour Town Golf Links. Grab your tickets and see that tradition continue.  The fun begins on April 13 with the Opening Ceremony and ends on April 19 with a purse of $5.9 million.

Some interesting facts about the tournament:

~ It takes 1,200 volunteers to make this week so smoothly

~ More than $28 million has been distributed to those in need throughout South Carolina and Georgia since 1987. In 2014, $3 million will be distributed to charitable organizations, the arts, medical institutions and for college scholarships.

~ 100,000 people attend the RBC Heritage each year

~ Davis Love III (1991-92), Payne Stewart (1989-90) and Boo Weekley (2007-08) are the only defending RBC Heritage champions to repeat.

~ Davis Love III holds the longest current streak of consecutive appearances at the RBC Heritage. The 2011 tournament marked his 26th start.
