Visit The Old Sheldon Church Ruins

This 260 year old church was burned during the Revolutionary War and again by Sherman during the Civil war.  All that remains are the walls, columns and grave stones, but worth a stop if you are nearby. History buffs and photographers will love the picturesque setting with its majestic live oaks and Spanish moss.  It is located in the town of Yemassee, just north of Beaufort and on your way to Charleston.  Approximately an hour and a half drive from Hilton Head-be sure to bring your camera!  Perfect for those of you who are on an extended stay with us!
